Dr. K. Pierre Eklou is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). He earned his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from George Mason University in 2018.

He previously served as an inpatient psychiatric and mental health nurse practitioner with UVA Community Health (formerly Novant Health UVA Health System), covering the Manassas and Haymarket Medical Centers. His earlier experience includes Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute, Virginia Hospital Center, Inova Fairfax Medical Center, and the Prince William County Community Services Board, among others.

Dr. Eklou's areas of expertise include depression, ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, schizophrenia and psychotic disorders, insomnia, PTSD, and substance use disorders. He takes an individualized approach with every patient, and treatment decisions are made collaboratively.

Dr. Eklou is accepting new clients ages 15 and older.

Dr. Christabel Lartey is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from George Mason University. She holds board certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Her experience spans more than two decades, including over 15 years as an inpatient psychiatric nurse and work as a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner since 2018, with particular depth in treating substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. Dr. Lartey has practiced at Los Angeles County Hospital (Los Angeles, CA), Northern Virginia Mental Health Institute (Falls Church, VA), Inova Healthcare System (Fairfax, Loudoun, and Leesburg, VA), Loudoun County Mental Health (Leesburg, VA), Outreach Recovery (Gaithersburg, MD), Brook Lane Health Services (Frederick and Hagerstown, MD), Columbia Associates in Psychiatry (Sterling, Aldie, and Arlington, VA), and the Prince William County Community Services Board.

Her areas of expertise include depression, ADHD, anxiety disorders, bipolar disorders, psychotic disorders, autism spectrum disorder, insomnia, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Dr. Lartey sees each patient as a unique individual and considers their whole circumstances when evaluating mental health needs. She discusses treatment options openly, builds an individualized care plan, and works alongside patients to reach their goals.

She makes a point of listening and understanding a patient's needs beyond simply prescribing medication, treating decision-making as collaborative and educating patients throughout the process as she combines medication and psychotherapy for the best results.

Dr. Lartey is accepting new clients between the ages of 8 and 45.

We accept patients ages 8 and up, with in-person visits at our Manassas, Virginia office and telepsychiatry available statewide in Virginia. Options for Maryland and District of Columbia residents are coming soon.

Service rates & fees

Psychiatric evaluation and/or consultation (new patient) — $300

Medication management (follow-up) — starting at $125

Current medications

Please bring — or have a way to access — all prescribed medications at your first appointment. Your provider will prescribe enough medication to last until your next scheduled medication management appointment. If you miss a scheduled appointment, refills are at the provider's discretion, so please keep your scheduled appointments.

Cancellations & no-show policy

We require a minimum of 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment and avoid a fee. Appointments missed, cancelled, or rescheduled with less than 48 hours' notice incur a $75 fee, which is not covered by insurance and will be charged to the credit card on file.

If you arrive more than 15 minutes late, your appointment will be cancelled and the cancellation fee assessed.

Treatment dismissal policy

You have the right to end care at any time and for any reason. We reserve the right to end treatment if:

  • We suspect prescription medication abuse or undisclosed substance use
  • A prescription drug contract is violated during treatment
  • We believe our services are no longer beneficial to you
  • We believe you would be better served by a higher level of care or a different provider
  • There is a pattern of frequent cancellations, rescheduling, or no-shows
  • Interpersonal dynamics are not conducive to a therapeutic relationship
  • You or a family member are hostile or aggressive toward providers, staff, or other clients
Emergencies & medication refills

In a psychiatric emergency, go to your local Emergency Department, call 911, or call/text 988. Our crisis resources page lists national and Prince William County lines.

Medications are not refilled outside of business hours, including holidays, nights, and weekends. Please allow 72 hours (excluding weekends and holidays) for refill requests, and request refills in a timely manner. We reserve the right to decline refills at any time.
